SSTU took part in meeting of the Public Chamber Commission of the Saratov Region

Evgenia Tokareva, Head of the International Relations Department of the Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, took part in an expanded meeting of the Commission on Sports, Youth Affairs, Volunteering Development and Patriotic Education, held by the Public Chamber of the Saratov Region. The topic of the meeting was: "Modern challenges of Russian public diplomacy and prospects for the development of labor migration in the Saratov region."

Members of the Public Chamber of the Saratov Region, representatives of ministries, departments, universities of Saratov and public organizations have attended the event.

Problems of the development of public diplomacy and international humanitarian cooperation were discussed during the meeting, as well as projects of the Saratov region related to international relations and the development of education and employment of foreigners according to a special list of demanded professions of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. As part of the participation in the meeting, Evgenia Tokareva made a presentation on international activities at SSTU.

“Despite the coronavirus restrictions, students are still the most active migrants. The main channels of youth travelling are student exchange programs, internship programs and additional training. More than 500 foreign students are studying nowadays in SSTU. The university is open for new forms of international interaction, the development of academic mobility programs and surely for the internationalization of the learning process, including the invitation of foreign citizens to study on basic educational programs. The university provides an opportunity for language training, obtaining high-quality higher education and contributes to the socialization and cultural adaptation of foreign students", - noted Evgenia Tokareva.
