For information:

It is significant that a number of the forum's guests from China had previously visited SSTU. In August 2024, SSTU was one of the venues hosting the IX Russian-Chinese Youth Forum in the Volga-Yangtze format. It was visited by more than 300 representatives of students aged 18 to 35 from universities in the Volga Federal District and the provinces of Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Jiangxi and the central city of Chongqing (PRC). Within the framework of the forum, a large 600-square-meter mural was created on the Cosmonauts Embankment in Saratov. The author of the sketch according to the results of the competition was a student of SSTU Elizaveta Zaitseva. Students from the Volga Federal District and students from Chinese provinces located on the Yangtze River participated in its creation. The length of the mural was 150 meters, and this number is not accidental. 2024 marked the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. And it is precisely of this length (75 meters) that the waves of the two great rivers Volga and Yangtze, symbolically depicted as two girls on the mural.
