Student Council

The Joint Students' Council is one of the forms of self-government of the educational institution and was created in order to ensure the implementation of the rights of students to participate in the management of the educational process, to solve important issues of students’ life activity, development of their social activities, support and implementation of social initiatives.

During its activity the Joint Students' Council cooperates with structural divisions of university, youth public associations, state and municipal authorities.

The purpose of the Joint Students' Council is to prepare students able to participate in management, to make competent decisions and effectively perform the tasks assigned.

The objectives of the Joint Students' Council are as follows:

• Formation of an active life and civil position of students;
• Support in the organization of educational and scientific activities, increasing the efficiency and success of studies, activation of independent creative activity of students in the educational process taking into account modern trends in the development of lifelong learning;
• Promotion of students’ research and creative initiatives;
• Promotion of students’ social maturity, independence, ability to self-organization and self-development;
• Preservation and development of students’ traditions, and strengthening of inter-university, interregional and international relations.
