Foreign students of Russian language courses took part in the Open Day

The Department of International Communications of the Gagarin State Technical University organized an Open Day for students of Russian language courses at the Center for Language and Subject Training. The main purpose of the event was to get acquainted with the university and choose the university's educational programs for further study.

The event was attended by: Vice-Rector for International Relations Tatyana Kasaeva, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, Head of the Department of Career Guidance and Admission, Ekaterina Vedyaeva, Acting Head of the Department of International Communications, Head of the Center for Language and Subject Training Ilya Terentyev.

Ekaterina Vedyaeva spoke about the terms of the admissions committee, the rules of admission to the technical university, and entrance tests.

Tatyana Kasaeva noted that such events for foreign citizens are held regularly and wished the students to successfully pass the entrance exams to the Gagarin State Technical University and become part of a large and friendly student family.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the institutes: Elena Kalikinskaya (Institute of Applied Information Technologies and Communications), Maxim Zenin (Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Transport), Elena Polskaya (Institute of Power Engineering), Olga Ushakova (Institute of Electronic Technology and Instrumentation), Nina Hayuk (Institute of Urban Planning, Architecture and Construction), Aina Makhmetova-Zhan Yerbulatovna (Socio-Economic Institute), Natalia Kovyneva (Institute of Physics and Technology). They presented the areas of training in detail and noted the specifics of the admission process. At the end of the Open Day, the students asked questions about the specialties they were interested in.

At the end of the event, foreign students visited the Museum Space of the University.

"After completing the Russian language courses, I'm going to enroll in a master's degree in the field of training "Energy systems and complexes". At the meeting, I learned about the admission procedure, the educational process and more detailed information about the direction of training, which is in great demand from employers," said the student Ahmed Hussain from Iraq.

Events of this format help foreign students to decide on the choice of specialty, the admission process and better understand how student life works.
