Foreign students of Russian language courses visited the Museum of Local Lore

The students of the Russian language courses of the Gagarin State Technical University visited the Saratov Regional Museum of Local Lore and got acquainted with the history of the city. They learned new information about the traditions, everyday life and crafts of the peoples of the region, learned how Saratov looked centuries ago, how it developed and transformed.

At the exhibition "Studying at different times. From the history of education in the Saratov Region" the participants of the tour got acquainted with the first educational institutions and outstanding Saratov teachers. After learning how the quill pen and ink were used in the past, the students tried to write a couple of lines themselves.

The audience paid special attention to the expositions dedicated to Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin. They were listening with interest about his life and studies. The unique exhibits presented at the exhibition, in particular the YAK-18 aircraft, on which Gagarin learned to fly, made an indelible impression.

The Department of International Communications actively promotes the development of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students, attracting them to participate in cultural events and enriching their experience of intercultural communication.
