Foreign students of SSTU took part in an online excursion of Saratov Cathedral Mosque

Online excursion in Saratov Cathedral Mosque is specially organized for foreign students of Saratov universities. The relevance of such events is due to the interest of foreign students from Arab and near abroad countries, mostly of the Muslim faith. The event is aimed at cultural and spiritual-moral adaptation of foreign citizens, which is especially important for the quality of their stay outside their traditional socio-cultural environment.

During the excursion, students learned about the main mosque of Saratov, about the history of Islam in Russia, as well as the harmony of interfaith and international peace, which creates a special socio-cultural environment of Russian society.

Aleksey Muratov, a member of the SSTU Department of International Relations, who teaches Arabic at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Saratov region, spoke at the online event. Foreign students of SSTU actively participated in the discussion.

The event was organized by Rustam Abdulmanov, the head of the Public Chamber of Saratov, with the participation of the Saratov State University and the Department of International Relations of SSTU, under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Cooperation with Authorities Kasaeva Tatiana.
