Polytechnic students are participants of the project "Opening leading Russian universities with a Russian house in Beirut"

With the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Lebanon and the Department of International Communications of the Gagarin State Technical University, an online meeting of international students of the Polytechnic University with the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Beirut took place.

The purpose of the webinar is to attract applicants and students from friendly countries. The event was opened by Larisa Shokor, coordinator of the Educational Programs Department of the Russian House in Beirut.

The webinar was attended by Marina Eremeeva, Deputy Head of the Department of International Communications, Ulyana Shakirova, Head of the Department of Information Support and Academic Mobility. The moderator was Alexey Muratov, a public relations specialist.

Students of the SSTU from Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Zambia online talked about university admission, education and life in Saratov, life hacks for learning the Russian language, and also conducted virtual tours of the cultural and educational center "Museum Space", laboratories of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Transport. In addition, the laboratory of building materials and structures of the Institute of Urbanism, Architecture and Construction, the TV center "Made in SSTU", the laboratory of virtual and augmented reality, the recreation area of the Institute of Applied Information Technologies and Communications were presented.

Participation in the online information project of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian House in Beirut has become a new experience for the university. Live communication in Arabic, direct inclusion of students – it turned out to be a dynamic format.

At the end of the event, Larisa Shokor and the staff of the Department of International Communications noted that they would welcome applicants from Lebanon and other Middle Eastern countries.

Reference: Currently, a large number of representatives of Arab countries are studying at SSTU. The demand for training at SSTU is growing every year due to the expansion of the range of international cooperation and the promotion of Russian education in foreign countries with the assistance of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo.
