SSTU has presented Master's degree programs at the international education fair

Saratov State Technical University took part in the virtual interactive educational fair "Study in Russia". The event was organized within the framework of the complex of measures to support foreign students of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and was aimed at promoting Russian universities abroad, as well as attracting talented young people to study in the Russian Federation.

More than 1,000 applicants from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and the CIS interested in studying at Russian universities visited the fair.

Polytech was presented at a separate virtual stand where applicants could study the advantages of studying at the university.

For two days staff members of the SSTU International Relations Department participated in informative webinars in foreign languages and communicated with potential applicants via online chat.

During the webinar Evgeniya Tokareva, head of the department, told the foreign applicants about the graduate degree programs, entrance conditions and life of a foreign student within the walls of Polytech University. Foreign students become active participants not only in the educational process, but also in the social, cultural and sports life of the university.

"SSTU became the first university in the country where the "Roscosmos Student Center" was opened. More than 500 foreign students from 38 countries study at our university. Technical and engineering specialties such as mechatronics, software engineering and oil and gas are in most demand among them. This year's admission campaign also showed the interest of foreigners in economic specialties. Employees of the international service developed a program for socialization and cultural adaptation of foreigners," Evgenia Tokareva said.

The university entrants still have time to pass the selection for the Russian government quota for foreign citizens.
