The V International School APTCT-2020 continues the series of schools on applied probability theory, telecommunications

RUDN University , together with the the University of Tampere (Finland) and Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), is holding the V International Youth Scientific School on Applied Probability Theory, Telecommunications and Data Analysis (5th International School on Applied Probability Theory, Communications Technologies & Data Science) from November 10 to 12, 2020.

The V International School APTCT-2020 continues the series of schools on applied probability theory, telecommunications, which have been held annually at the RUDN University since 2016. This year, a wide range of issues will be discussed, covering the most relevant areas of scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing.

The school will be held in the format of online lectures in English, which will be given by leading researchers from Russian and foreign universities, and leading companies in the field of telecommunications:

  • “Large Scale Spectrum Monitoring: Challenges and Solutions Using Machine Learning”: Sreeraj Rajendran (KU Leuven, Belgium); 
  • “Why Am I Seeing this Ad? A Look Under the Hood of Data-Driven Marketing”: Natallia Kokash (Pegasystems, Netherlands); 
  • “Towards Explainable AI: Fuzzy Sets, Fuzzy Measures and Interactions”: Gleb Beliakov (Deakin University, Australia); 
  • “AI the Way Toward 6G”: Ammar Muthanna (Bonch-Bruevich Saint-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Russia); 
  • “Applying Machine Learning Techniques to Big Data in the Scholarly Domain”: Angelo Salatino (Open University, UK); 
  • “Terahertz Wireless Access: Applications, Challenges, and Solutions”: Dmitri Moltchanov (Tampere University, Finland).

Target audience: masters, graduate students, young scientists doing research in the field of telecommunications and data analysis.
