Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov welcomed new international students

Two new students from Afghanistan and Iraq came to our university. Romal Omari, a student from Afghanistan, has been interested in Russian education for a long time. He began his distance learning program a year ago, attending an online preparatory course. Despite various obstacles, he showed persistence and received a quota from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

We remind that on the territory of the Russian Federation there is a quota for the education of foreign citizens at the expense of budgetary allocations from the federal budget.

The same quota was given to the student Tarib Mohammed Azher Razzaq from Iraq. He continues his postgraduate studies in the field of "Electronics, Radio Engineering and Communication Systems. And Romal Omari decided to study computer science and computer technology at the Institute of Applied Information Technology and Communications at the SSTU.

The new students shared their impressions:

"I immediately liked Saratov - it is a quiet and beautiful city. I am sure that Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov is the university, where I will get a good education. I want to express special gratitude to the international department for quality support. They were always there to help me and assist me in the process of settling in, always answering all the questions and staying in touch with me all the time. Upon arrival, I settled into the dormitory and am already attending classes," Romal said.

"I like the fact that SSTU has many students from my home country, Iraq. Saratov seemed to me an unusually cold, but beautiful city. I think I will have interesting classes where I will learn a lot of new things," Mohamed said.
