Summer School

SILS summer classes start in July and finish in September. Being in Saratov during the most enjoyable time of the year - summer - gives you a chance to explore the 410-year old city and other beautiful places along the Volga River - the Great Russian River. You would enjoy splendid panoramic views of Volga in summer. Don't lose the opportunity to submerge yourself in a totally different, rich and diverse culture.

The Russian Language and Culture Summer School offer a unique opportunity to study Russian as a foreign language in the heart of Russia. You would have a chance to study Russian and to get acquainted to the atmosphere of Russian culture. Saratov is a large cultural, economical and educational center on the bank of the Volga river.

The program of the Summer School  is designed for those who are interested in the Russian language and culture and who want to acquire or enrich their knowledge of Russian.

The training is carried out in groups of 1 – 10 people, formed according to the level of student`s proficiency and skills. The program could be organized if there are enough participants with compatible language proficiency levels.

Language of study: Russian

At the end of the course participants pass a test of Russian As a Foreign Language and get a certificate.

The duration of the course is 74 hours per month (4 weeks) or 144 academic hours (8 weeks). Classes will be 5 days a week (Saturday and Sunday are days off).

Schedule of the Summer School:

• July, 4th – July, 28th (4weeks);
• August, 1st – August, 28th  (4 weeks);
• July, 4th  – August, 28th  (8 weeks).

The participants will be provided with a comfortable hostel which is in a walking distance from the university.

Cost of accommodation: 3 600 Rubles  per month. 

The participants of the Summer School can take part in cultural and entertainment program: visiting Art Museums, Museums of Local History and places of interest.
