Foreign students of the Saratov State Technical University held a marriage registration ceremony

Saratov "Wedding Palace" hosted an interactive tour for international students of Polytech University. Saratov Registry Office was visited by 20 foreign students and Russian language students from Jordan, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Zambia, Morocco, Iraq as well as 5 Russian students.

After a brief historical excursion into the history of the region's Registry Offices, the students learned about the advantages of formal marriage as compared with cohabitation, the transformation of wedding rituals and wedding fashion, as well as shared the wedding traditions of their countries.

Polytechnics looked at old photos and postcards. And even tried their hand as marriage registrars, the bride and groom, conducting a mock marriage ceremony.
