SSTU took part in a roundtable on the promotion of sustainable development goals

Yesterday, November 29, at the invitation of the Department of International Cooperation of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, an online round table on "Defining higher education policy in the context of promoting sustainable development goals" was held. The organizer was the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).

The meeting was attended by representatives of higher education institutions from different countries, including employees of the International Relations Department of Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov. The main issue discussed was the education as a factor of sustainable development.

"In modern conditions education becomes the most important factor of sustainable development and acquires a special relevance. It contributes to formation of students' skills to make informed decisions and responsible attitude to the issues of environmental protection. This is in the interest of current and future generations," research leader Miguel Antonio said.

The development of international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region is a priority for SSTU. Such events help in developing strategies, courses and best practices that promote knowledge in the field of sustainable development.
