Representatives of SSTU took part in the round table "War through the eyes of foreign students"

In order to patriotic education and preserve historical memory, a round table "The Great Patriotic War through the eyes of foreign students" was held. The event was organized by the City Committee on Public Relations and Tourism.

The participants were students of Gagarin State Technical University, Vavilov University, Yu.A. Razumovsky SSMU, Chernyshevsky SSU and L.V. Sobinov SGK. The geography of the participating countries is extensive – the representatives were citizens of China, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Ivory Coast.

SSTU was presented at the round table by Mohamed Ahmed Shaaban Shehata, a student of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Transport, with a report on the topic "Marina Raskova: the woman who built the stairway to heaven." Marina Eremeeva, Deputy Head of the International Communications Department, also spoke at the event. During the work, representatives of universities discussed the role of universities, their students and staff during the war, as well as the immortal feat of the Soviet people and their contribution to Victory.

Foreign students took part in a quiz about the Great Patriotic War, in which they tested their knowledge. The chairman of the "Combat Brotherhood" Sergey Aveniyazov noted the high level of knowledge of the students and presented souvenirs.
