The aim of the competition is to identify talented, active students with leadership qualities studying at higher education institutions in CIS countries, to support their academic, creative and social initiatives and to develop inter-state cultural cooperation to a new level.

The 21st All-Russian Conference and Competition for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Student Projects, ‘Current Issues in Subsurface Resource Utilisation’, took place from 6 to 10 April at the Empress Catherine II St Petersburg Mining University.

On the initiative of Huaiyin Institute of Technology, an online meeting with representatives of partner universities was held at Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov, aimed at developing international academic cooperation.

This year, the third Obninsk Tech Winter School 2026 is taking place in Obninsk from 1 to 7 February, bringing together students from different countries to learn and share experiences in the field of nuclear technology.

On 28 January, as part of the 34th International Christmas Educational Readings ‘Enlightenment and Morality: Personality Formation and the Challenges of Our Time’, an interregional scientific and practical conference entitled ‘Spiritual and Moral Education in Higher Education’ was held in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.

A lecture dedicated to the 82nd anniversary of the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad was held at the Gagarin Saratov State Technical University.
