Foreign students of Russian language courses took part in the seminar dedicated to Russian language

On May 26th the seminar "Russian language in the 21st century" for foreign students studying at Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov was held within the framework of the university Russian language development activities organized by the Department of International Relations. The seminar was conducted by Elmira Tugusheva, Associate Professor of Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication Department.

Participants actively discussed the difficulties they might have had in learning Russian. It is not unimportant that the theme of cultural adaptation through the study of Russian classical and modern literature was highlighted. In the form of a game the participants were able to demonstrate their skills in Russian and came to the conclusion that friendly relations between people from different countries are based on knowledge of language and culture.

"A good knowledge of the Russian language develops the ability for respect and mutual understanding, helps to achieve career goals," - Elmira said.
