Foreign students of SSTU met with a former prisoner of a Nazi concentration camp

On April 11, on the International Day of the Liberation of Nazi concentration camps, there was a national film screening of films about concentration camp prisoners for SSTU students.

The central event of the film screening was a meeting with a former prisoner of the Nazi camp "Alytus" Adelia Rodina, currently the chairman of the Saratov regional branch of the all-Russian public organization Russian Union of former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps, member of the World Congress of former minor prisoners of fascist concentration camps.

Adelia is a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, she writes books, essays, literary and musical compositions. At the meeting she read recollections and poems of her own composition and appealed to the young people to remember the difficult history of Russia.

Kuocam Yetchu Arold Durand, a student of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Transportation, shared his impressions after the meeting: "I was surprised by this woman's courage, her cheerfulness, and such love for her homeland!"
