The prosecutor held a meeting with foreign students of the SSTU

Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov with the Prosecutor's Office of the Saratov region begins a cycle of meetings "Question to the Prosecutor". Today, on February 17, 2022 the first meeting of the public prosecutor of the Regional Public Prosecutor's Office with the foreign students of the Technical University was held at the "Tochka Kipeniya" of Polytechnic University.

During his speech, Petr Sorokin, 1st class lawyer, prosecutor of the department of supervision over compliance with laws in the social sphere of the regional prosecutor's office, described in detail the features of the legal basis for the stay of foreign students in the Russian Federation, separately dwelt on their rights and obligations. The special attention was paid to observance of the criminal law and the questions regulated by the Administrative Offences Code of the Russian Federation. The topic of employment of foreigners in Russia aroused great interest of the students. The students had a great opportunity to ask all the questions they were interested in. Thus, Abdelhamid Nasser Mohamed Ahmed, the student of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Transportation from Egypt was interested in the "peculiarities of legal responsibility of foreigners in Russia".

Elnur Alimov, a student of the Socio-Economic Institute from Azerbaijan, asked about the possibility of foreign students visiting the museum of the regional prosecutor's office.

The open dialogue lasted more than an hour.

"The meeting was productive. Foreign citizens must know their rights and obligations, flawlessly comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation. We have planned a whole series of such events," said Prosecutor Petr Sorokin.

In response, the foreign students expressed their gratitude to Petr Sorokin for the opportunity to talk directly on important topics.
