The university held a New Year volleyball tournament

On 20 December, 2021 a New Year volleyball tournament was held in the sports hall of Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov.

Volleyball players from Russia, Morocco, Iraq and Egypt took part in the event.

According to the results of the match the athletes from the Stroitel team were victorious. Silver medals went to students of the Energetik team. Team Elmasri took the honorable third place.

In special nominations, Aleksandr Ulyagin was named the best defender of the tournament, while Maxim Tupikov, Ahmed Shabaan Elrock and Yusif Sattar Al-Maliki were named the best forwards. Vitaliy Kopylov received a worthy award as the best player of the tournament.

Volleyball coach Diana Matyushina was the head referee and was responsible for the event.
