The IX Russian-Chinese Youth Forum in the Volga-Yangtze format is taking place in Saratov until August 28. It is attended by more than 300 representatives of students aged 18 to 35 from universities in the regions of the Volga Federal District and the provinces of Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Jiangxi and the city of central subordination of Chongqing (PRC).
Today, Gagarin State Technical University has become one of the venues for a large-scale forum. A delegation of 60 participants arrived at the university. Federal inspector for the Saratov region Lyudmila Borisova also visited the sites.
The guests listened to the interactive lecture "Saratov Cosmic", and also were able to feel like astronauts and make a VR spacewalk. They were also shown simulators in the field of UAVs and medical devices, as well as aircraft launches.
Svetlana Kumova, Director of the Institute of Applied Information Technologies and Communications of SSTU, introduced the forum participants to the immersive exhibition of works by Polytechnic students using AR technologies "Heart-shaped Box". They independently examined the animated paintings using smartphones.
Alexander Strakhov, Director of the Institute of Urban Studies, Architecture and Construction of SSTU, presented the projects of students of the fields of study "Architecture" and "Design of the architectural environment". In addition, the guests were shown the capabilities of a mobile environmental laboratory and showed how rapid analyses of water bodies are carried out.
A hackathon on digital technologies was held as part of the project direction for students of the two countries. And the highlight of the events was the fashion customization. The guests made original prints on the T-shirts, which they took with them as a keepsake.
Recall that in parallel, on the Saratov Embankment, artists from the SSTU, the regions of the Volga Federal District and China are painting 150-meter graffiti. The image will occupy an area of 600 square meters. The work of Elizaveta Zaitseva, a student of the Polytechnic University, entitled "Rivers of Friendship: Volga and Yangtze" won the sketch competition. The finished graffiti will be the bright finale of the forum in the Volga-Yangtze format.
It should be noted that the forum is held under the patronage of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.
