International Students of SSTU Receive their Higher Education Diplomas
A graduation ceremony for international graduates was held at Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov.
This year, 49 students from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Egypt, Haiti, Georgia, Algeria, Morocco, Syria and Sudan received their university graduation certificates.
Addressing the graduates, Tatyana Kasaeva, Vice-Rector for International Relations, conveyed words of congratulations from the Rector of SSTU, Professor Sergey Naumov. In her speech, she also expressed her gratitude to the parents of the international students for supporting their desire to study in Russia and paid special tribute to the efforts of the academic staff:
‘Dear graduates! SSTU has given you an excellent education, knowledge and practical skills that you will be able to apply for the benefit of your home countries and Russia. I would like to thank the heads of the institutes, the lecturers and the staff of the dean’s offices who have supported you on the challenging path to defending your theses’.
In a festive atmosphere, the graduates were also presented with letters of appreciation from the Rector of Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov for their high academic achievements, proactive civic engagement and efforts to enhance the university’s reputation, as well as certificates from the Vice-Rector for International Relations for outstanding academic success and active participation in the university’s research activities.
In their response, the graduates thanked their mentors for their help, patience and the knowledge they had gained. They expressed particular gratitude to the university’s management, the directors of the institutes and everyone who had helped them become qualified specialists.
