SSTU is a Participant in the 4th International Youth Nuclear Forum ‘Obninsk NEW’
The 4th International Youth Nuclear Forum ‘Obninsk NEW’ is taking place in Obninsk — a prestigious international platform bringing together young professionals, students, scientists, representatives of relevant organisations, government bodies and the international expert community.
This year, the Forum has brought together around 600 delegates from more than 70 countries worldwide, as well as over one million online participants.
Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov is represented at the Forum by Master’s students from the Institute of Urban Planning, Architecture and Construction, specialising in ‘Ecology and Natural Resource Management’, scholarship holders of the Rosatom State Corporation:
Amer Adam Mohamed Mahmoud Elbaz (Arab Republic of Egypt);
Aida Azhigalieva (Republic of Kazakhstan).
In 2026, the Forum takes on special significance in connection with the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the city of Obninsk and the 80th anniversary of the A.I. Leipunsky Institute of Physics and Energy. These landmark anniversaries highlight the continuity of the historical legacy of the peaceful atom and the drive towards further technological development.
The participants’ focus is on issues of international youth cooperation, training personnel for high-tech sectors, developing scientific and educational initiatives, and the role of young people in shaping a sustainable technological future.
The participation of students from Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov in the international forum contributes to the development of scientific cooperation, the strengthening of international academic ties and the professional growth of young researchers.
