SSTU Representative take part in Strategic Session at MGIMO

MGIMO held a strategic session entitled ‘Russian Universities in the World: From International Positioning to Value-Oriented Work’, which brought together representatives from universities across the country.

Yuri Gagarin State Technical University of Saratov was represented by Ulyana Shakirova, Head of the Information Support and Academic Mobility Office of International Relations Department.

Welcoming remarks were made by Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Stanislav Surovtsev, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, Social Work and International Relations at MGIMO, Anna Chirkova, Head of the Education and Science Division of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vyacheslav Sutyrin, Adviser to the Rector’s Office and Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Youth Policy, Social Work and International Relations at MGIMO.

The session was structured around two main themes: ‘Value-oriented work with international students’ and ‘International promotion’.

Participation in the strategic session enables SSTU to get acquainted with best practice at other universities, to compare its own achievements with nationwide trends and to contribute to the development of a unified approach to the international activities of higher education institutions, taking into account national priorities in the field of education.
