International students talked with Irek Zinnurov in the "Dialogue on equal terms" format.

An online meeting with Irek Zinnurov, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held at Saratov State Technical University.

The event was attended by the Vice-rector for International Relations of SSTU Tatyana Kasaeva, Acting Head of the Department of International Communications Ilya Terentyev, Deputy head of the UMK Marina Eremeeva, students and foreign students representing the association of foreign students of the Polytechnic University.

In her welcoming speech, Tatyana Kasayeva thanked the head of the Russian House in Baku and expressed hope for fruitful joint work.

Irek Zinnurov spoke about the main areas of work of the Russian House in Baku to promote the Russian language, about his career path from a two-time Olympic medalist to a deputy of the State Duma, about events held in Baku, such as the "Exhibition of Young Talents", "Pushkin Dictation", the international program "Mission Dobro", about the general features in the culture of Russia and Azerbaijan. Of particular interest was the story about the reverent attitude in Azerbaijan towards the personality of Yuri Gagarin.

At the end of the meeting, the students thanked the speaker for the sincere dialogue, and also expressed hope for its continuation. The meeting will open new pages in the history of cooperation between the Russian House in Baku and the SSTU.
