The ‘Best CIS Student’ International Competition for Talented Students Begins

The aim of the competition is to identify talented, active students with leadership qualities studying at higher education institutions in CIS countries, to support their academic, creative and social initiatives and to develop inter-state cultural cooperation to a new level. The project contributes to the strengthening and development of friendly relations based on shared values.

Competition categories:

• Science; 
• Arts; 
• Sports.

Applications are accepted from successful students with strong organisational skills (leaders and activists of student organisations).

Competition participants will receive:

• A special ‘BEST STUDENT – CIS’ badge;

• A certificate;

• A ‘BEST STUDENT – CIS’ statuette;

• First, second and third-class diplomas.

• Student supervisors will receive electronic letters of thanks.

For participation in the competition, please send the following to astana-conference@mail.ru by 17 April 2026:

• a personal statement;

• copies of supporting documents (e.g. letters of appreciation, diplomas, etc.) – no more than 2 pages (14 point, Times New Roman); high-quality photos in 3/4 format (1 copy) and 4–5 photos from student life.

Entries for the competition are accepted in one of the following languages: Russian, English and the languages of the CIS countries.

The presentation and awards ceremony will take place in the form of a conference in Astana.
