Second Intake of Applications for the Horizons of Opportunities Programme is Open

The RUDN International Youth Centre, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, is organising the second round of the Horizons of Opportunity supplementary development programme for foreign students at Russian universities.

The programme is a unique educational initiative aimed at providing foreign students at Russian universities with an in-depth study of the humanities. The most distinguished participants will be offered internships that will open up prospects for further professional growth.

The programme comprises three areas:

  • International Economic School (IES)

Classes focus on the theoretical and practical foundations of business and entrepreneurship in Russia, the specifics of marketing and branding in the Russian market, the study of high-quality market and business analysis methods, and Russia's current international economic relations. The skills acquired during the programme will help graduates to implement their own business initiatives.

  • International School of Humanities (ISH)

Classes focus on the current state of international relations, methods of analysing international relations, as well as the various stages of the evolution of Russia's foreign policy and Russia's current initiatives in the field of international humanitarian cooperation. Students will learn to better understand the situation in the world and Russia's position on key geopolitical issues.

  • International School of Humanitarian Cooperation (ISHC)

Classes focus on the theoretical and practical foundations of grant project budgeting, writing letters of support, and selecting a relevant grant project topic, which will help participants create their own projects and obtain funding from Russian grant organisations after graduation.

In 2026, education at all three schools will be held online from June 26 to August 21.

Applications for participation in the program will be accepted on the website until May 31.

The 150 best participants from all three schools will be invited to participate in the regional stage of the program, which will be held from October 5 to November 19 in the following cities:

  • Moscow – October 5-8, participants from the Central Federal District;
  • Vladivostok – October 19-22, participants from the Far Eastern Federal District, the Siberian Federal District and the Ural Federal District;
  • Saint Petersburg – November 2-5, participants from the North-Western Federal District and the Volga Federal District;
  • Krasnodar – November 16-19, participants from the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District.

As a result of the three schools, the Congress of the Best Graduates will be held from December 2 to 4, bringing together 50 finalists from the regional stage and 25 graduates from the previous year.

The aim of the congress is to strengthen the alumni community, create conditions for the effective sharing of experiences and the professional development of participants, as well as integrate the most active alumni into the expert community as speakers and moderators.
