Socio-economic Institute

For almost 90 years, the institute has been the leading economic higher education institution in the Volga region, an integral part of research, educational and national economic complex of the Saratov region; has prepared specialists widely in demand by enterprises and organizations of the region. In Soviet times Socio-economic Institute was formed on the basis of Planning institute and Financial institute in 1931. Since January 2014, the university has become the branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Since September 2020, in the process of liquidation of this branch, SSTU Socio-Economic Institute was created. It inherited research and educational potential of one of the leading economic universities in the region - Saratov State Socio-economic University.
